For its 1st edition in Valenciennes, on May 30th and 31st, the e-virtuoses have chosen a stronger general positioning : high-level conferences with experts, engineers, technical and creative managers, researchers and decision-makers from all over the world.
Opening night on May 30th with an Award-winning Ceremony :
The e-virtuoses started officially by an opening night with more than 150 professionals and several presentations by international experts with representatives from AMD, IBM, e-Line Media, Games for Change, Games for Learning Institute, Serious Game Institute of Coventry...
- The partnership between the CCI Nord de France and Games for Change that will make of the e-virtuoses THE Games for Change Festival in Europe.
- The "e-virtuoses Awards" ceremony with 5 winners for each category : Innovation / R&D – G4C (Social impact and education games) – Health – Human Resources – Special Jury Prize.
On May 31st at the Phénix in Valenciennes :
- A very rich program (3 plenary sessions, 7 summits, 1 masterclass, 1 workshop).
- The establishment within the e-virtuoses of the 1st Games For Change Europe Festival with 2 workshops dedicated to the appropriate topics: social impact games & education.
- The planning of a special masterclass for Game Design and of a workshop on R&D.
- The CCI NDF & G4C partnership between Francis ALDEBERT (Chairman of the CCI Nord de France) and
Asi BURAK (co-Chairman of G4C).
- Imagine a new world: the power of games with Scot OSTERWEIL, Director of Research at the MIT

Pursuant the strategy defined in 2007 by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI)
Nord de France, e-virtuoses continues its international development and is proud to
announce the signature of a partnership with the prestigious US event Games For Change
Festival www.gamesforchange.org.
Games for Change is an NGO which main objective is to contribute to developing Serious Games in the fields of social, geopolitical, ecology, sustainable development, Human rights, education etc. The first step of this partnership is the organization of the Games for Change Europe Festival during e-virtuoses.
- Summits, Masterclasses and Workshops present and reinforce high-level scientific and technical content, while addressing creative, production and scientific challenges.
- “Themed” areas will provide summit attendees with organized spaces where they can talk together, discover the games, meet their creators, exchange and network.
- Bringing other point of views, other perspectives from nearby specialists – gamification, new business models, free to play, social games etc.
- A Prestigious Gala Ceremony in a delightful setting with the "e-virtuoses Awards 2011" ceremony given by an international and independent expert jury.
